She is also a film producer and screenwriter at LYNX Film. In 1994 she graduated from the actors department of the Theatre Academy in Maastricht. After her graduation she took additional courses with Krystian Lupa and Krzysztof Globisz at the Theatre School in Krakau, Poland. W 2019 roku była producentką sztuki Apocalypse How autorstwa Simona Weedy (reżyseria: Ivar van Urk), w której zagrała rolę Nel. W 2020 Julia wraz z zespołem LYNX rozstała się z teatrem i wkroczyła do świata filmu. We współpracy z Zeelandią LYNX Film wyprodukował krótki film SOBER w reżyserii Joëla Duinkerke, stworzony z myślą o festiwalu Zeeland Nazomer. Scenariusz do tego filmu napisała Julia na podstawie monologu ze sztuki King Sweet King Paula Pourveura. Monolog ten zainspirowany był życiem jej prababki. Julia wystąpiła w tym filmie w roli głównej, grając Adrianę. W 2022 roku ukazał się UNDER WATER. Julia jest nie tylko producentką, ale także współscenarzystką tego pierwszego filmu fabularnego wyprodukowanego przez LYNX Film i gra jedną z głównych ról. Film był nominowany do Konkursu 1-2 na Warszawskim Festiwalu Filmowym (wyróżniony przez FIAPF) oraz otrzymał nominację do Narrative Feature Jury Award na Austin Film Festival (spośród 5400 zgłoszeń) i znalazł się w oficjalnej selekcji do CineQuest (wybrany jako #1 festiwal filmowy w USA przez USA Today). Wiosną 2023 roku dystrybutor Amstelfilm wprowadził UNDER WATER do holenderskich kin, a film jest także dostępny na Pathé Thuis, Amazon Prime, Google Play i iTunes. W telewizji grała role gościnne między innymi w seriach Boks, Keizer & de Boer, Spanga’s, Zestien Miljoen Rechters, Snuf de Hond oraz Flikken Maastricht. Zagrała również jedną z głównych ról jako Nadia we fryzyjskiej serii adwokackiej Dankert & Dankert (reżyseria: Steven de Jong). The Second World was the first play by this new Theatre Group about informers of the Secret Services and opposition members behind the Iron Curtain and was based on Julia’s interviews with her Polish-Russian family. The Second World blended musical theatre with film projections and animation. The play toured the Netherlands and Belgium and was shown in February 2018 at the Nowe Epiphanie Festival in Warsaw, Poland. Apocalypse How, directed by Ivar van Urk, had its premiere in 2019. This black comedy by Simon Weeda about ‘doomsday preppers’, conspiracy theories, money-minded people and about great concern for the planet, toured the stages. In 2020 Julia decided to make a shift with LYNX from theatre to film. In coproduction with Zeelandia, LYNX Film produced for the Zeeland Nazomer Festival 2020 SOBER, directed by Joël Duinkerke. Based on a text by Paul Pourveur, Julia wrote the screenplay for this short film in which she played the main character of Adriana. LYNX Films first feature, UNDER WATER, a fiction film debut by Edgar Kapp and Kuba Szutkowski, based on Apocalypse How, had its world premiere on September 11, 2022 at Film by the Sea. It was nominated in the Competition 1-2 at the 38th Warsaw International Film Festival (FIAPF approved), was in the running for Narrative Feature Jury Award at the 29th Austin Film Festival (out of 5400 entries) and officially selected for CineQuest (voted #1 film festival by USA Today).
